Hi there! Here are a couple of concepts for one of your new E4 idents.
Concept 01 - FRANTIC VR.
In a glitchy virtual reality game, a pair of floating hands FRANTICALLY ATTEMPT to ASSEMBLE the E4 logo.
An array of tools and objects are at the player's disposal, some more useful than others. The player must choose wisely and think outside of the box. For example, a miniature giraffe can be picked up and squeezed so it's tongue pops out and licks a part of the E4 logo. Which can then be glued in place.
The movements of the hands are a bit erratic and unstable, and combined with buggy physics simulations this leads to catastrophic mishaps. Yet, somehow, eventually the logo is chaotically put together.
CONCEPT 02 - THE INIFINITE MAZE.
A guinea pig IS TRAPPED INSIDE A CONCRETE MAZE. EXHAUSTED AND JUST ABOUT TO GIVE UP HOPE, HE FINDS A TABLE CONTAINING ANOTHER SMALLER MAZE.
He approaches the table and we see the maze has the shape of the E4 logo formed within it. The guinea pig notices something inside the maze, it looks like a tiny creature. Desperately hungry, he instantly tries to grab it but his hand won't fit between the narrow walls of the maze.
He picks up some chopsticks lying on the table and uses them to reach for the animal, and at the same moment some giant chopsticks grab his head from above. He squeals in pain and looks around at the huge chopsticks behind him, and then back at the table top maze and realises that he’s looking at himself trapped inside an infinitely repeating maze.
In anguish, he comically throws his head back and screams, as the camera begins pulling back to reveal he is indeed in the very same maze as the one on the table. The camera continues zooming out of the E4 maze in an infinite loop.
